From crumby to yummy — A crumb sundae!

The other night I was in the mood for dessert, but the options were a bit sad. We had the crumby remains of a once lovely babka, and well, that was it. But then! I remembered the Cool Whip that had been chilling out in our freezer ever since I tried a short-cut Indian ice cream recipe (which by the way was delicious! It was something like this ). Anyway, my sad dish of crumbs came alive with a scoop of Cool Whip, and I achieved exactly the mini dessert I was looking for. I’m sure this would work with ice cream as well.
Crumb Sundae
Ingredients:
Dessert crumbs (mine were from babka; crumbs from cake, cookies, a crumble, etc. would probably all work well too!)
Cool Whip. Or ice cream, or whipped cream, or some other cream base.
Directions:
Um, I feel a bit ridiculous spelling this out, but for the sake of the format, here you go —
1. Put crumbs in a little dish.
2. Top with Cool Whip or ice cream.
3. Eat and revel in your resourcefulness.
Stay tuned — a future post will detail our efforts to visit the mysterious babka factory.
