EatOrToss has been named a Digital Media Award Winner by the International Association of Culinary Professionals!
We were among three finalists in the blog category and received the award at a ceremony in Brooklyn on Thursday, September 26.
As EatOrToss’s founder, I’m so grateful to the IACP judges, EatOrToss readers and every scientist who has ever responded to my queries! And of course to my husband for all his support. (Fun fact: he reads nearly every post twice before I hit “publish”!). EatOrToss’s mission has always been to arm people with information that enables them to make safe and less wasteful food decisions. We also hope to celebrate the fascinating science of food. As food waste is a serious environmental problem and a significant driver of climate change, we particularly appreciate the judges recognizing the value of what we do.
And big congrats to the other winners and finalists in categories ranging from cookbooks to narrative food writing. Check them out!
Whether you’ve been along for the weird food ride from the very beginning or are just now discovering the EatOrToss, thanks so much being here and for making thoughtful decisions about eating (and only occasionally tossing) your food!
